CRC Department Apparatus Accountability ID's

The following links will take you to a blank Apparatus Accountability ID Tag form
that all departments will complete along with a digital image (jpeg format). These
tags will then be placed on the website within the Task Force assignments and
they will be laminated and placed into each apparatus to be handed over to
Incident Command at designated CRC Activation's. Approved CRC Duty
and Field Officers will also have copies of these Tags for their use during
CRC Activation's or other Mutual Aid calls.

The primary purpose of the CRC system is not to relieve the communities of their responsibilities of providing adequate emergency services for all local emergencies, since all communities should have their own first line of defense plus its reserves, but when a community exhausts these resources, then the CRC system can be activated by the stricken community, and through a systematic structure, CRC will provide:

bulletImmediate assistance of manpower and equipment at the scene during a large fire, medical emergency or other disaster. 
bulletResponse teams of: Firefighters, Paramedics/EMT's, hazardous materials technicians, TRS, Divers, etc.
bulletAccess to specialized equipment which one Department could not afford to own.
bulletA single point-of-contact (the CRC Duty Officer) for the Incident Commander to contact for additional resources
bulletA broad area covering Williamson and Travis Counties and includes over 30 Fire Departments.

The CRC system is not intended to replace mechanisms that currently provide mutual aid from one department to another.

Working together, the 17 fire departments that make up the Williamson County Fire Chief’s Association have over 130 pieces of equipment including (as of 2004):
